Reduced File size of sample.jls

@mliberty

  1. the UI file size is going more than 1 GB most of the times , is their any way reduce the size.

  2. when i do annotations to the exisitng file, i got new file, with anno extension with very less size, but when i delete the orginal file, this annoted file is not working…

can you please suggest how to get and keep the small size.of the UI files, so that i can share on internet.

Hi @NGS,

Joulescopes produce about 10 MB/s of data at full rate. If you do not need the time resolution, then you can specify a lower sample rate. You can also open a JLS file and only export the exact part you need. Add dual markers and adjust them to the region of interested. Then right click on one of the markers and select export.

In the Waveform widget, you can also take a screenshot or right click and Copy image to clipboard. Sharing images of the Waveform widget is a lot less flexible, but can be viewed by anyone with only a web browser.

The anno.jls file only contains the annotations. The original JLS file contains the data. You need to keep the two files together.
